Forest Insects and Disease Workshop
July 24th, 9 - 3pm


Join us for a Forest Insects & Disease Workshop led by Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation (DNRC)’s Amy Gannon (Forest Pest Management Program Manager) and Jake Chadwell (Forest Pest Management Specialist).


The first part of the day will be spent in the SVC conference room, where we’ll cover: how to identify tree damage, overview of diseases, overview of insects, and how to use a key for I.D.


For the second part of the day, we’ll head out into the field to: assess tree vigor and damage patterns, identify some insects and diseases, practice using the same key for I.D. (Samples, brochures, and field guides (keys) will be provided.)
