Who We Are

Individuals, neighborhoods, businesses, organizations (Swan Valley Connections, MT Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, US Forest Service, and Swan Valley Emergency Services), and wildfire professionals working together to create fire-adapted communities in the Swan Valley by providing leadership, technical assistance, education, and resources.

FireSafe Swan:

  • Is inclusive and welcomes all partners interested in creating fire-adapted communities.

  • Empowers residents in preparation before a wildfire starts. Preparation includes: awareness of seasonal conditions, home-hardening, creating and maintaining a Home Ignition Zone, coordinated fuels reduction for wildfire-resilience and forest health, family evacuation planning, and wildfire recovery

  • Assists landowners in understanding and reducing wildfire risk through educational home and property assessments

How Can You Get Involved?

Join us for our quarterly meetings! Firesafe Swan holds meetings at the Swan Valley Connections office at 6887, MT 83, Condon MT, where various stakeholders and community members are welcomed to share current projects, available resources, and community-led project initiatives.
